The Roller Skating Extravangza held this past Saturday had a great turnout and there will be pictures posted soon from the event!
You missed one of the best meals we ever had at a monthly meeting. I'm still tasting those raviolis.
We went to school for New Urbanism 101. Katherine Moore from the Georgia Conservancy gave a great presentation. The three main principles we learned were: Subdivide first; determine land use later
- Design streets as if they are the most important elements... because they are
- Design spaces knowing that places are made, not designed.
- Kudos for Katherine for making sustainability and environmental preservation interesting and applicable to a room full of traffic people.
Bill Rusham recorded the meeting for our first ever podcast. We are currently working on getting the feed for the podcast set up so that you can subscribe through ITunes but for now you can download the file directly.
