Featured Topic: Using Cloud Technology for Traffic Analytics - This month our speaker is Christian Kotscher, of MetroTech Net, Inc. Christian founded MetroTech Net to change the way the world measures traffic information. MetroTech launched the world's first Cloud based traffic sensing network in Santa Clara County in November 2011, and Christian will be discussing the project, the technology utilized on the project, and the upcoming projects for MetroTech.

Cost: $20 Private Sector Member, $15 Public Sector Members, $15 Life Members, $10 Students/Job Seekers, $25 for non-Members. (Additional $5 if registered after Feb 7th)

2012 Winter Workshop Registration Now Online: February 26-27, 2012

Please join us this February for the ITE Georgia Section’s Second Annual Winter Workshop (WW 2012). With over 55 attendees, last year’s event was a huge success and this year’s event is shaping up to be an even more exciting and informative two days. WW 2012 will be held at the Unicoi Lodge in Helen, Georgia from Sunday, February 26th through Monday, February 27th.

Credit card payments can be made through the online registration system and payment by check can be mailed (see registration for payment information). January 25th, 2011 is the deadline for early registration - no refunds for registration can be issued after this date. Please be aware that room availability cannot be guaranteed after the early registration date - make your reservations now!

Complete Streets Design Workshop - Friday February 17, 2012

CNU Atlanta is pleased to announce registration is open for our Complete Streets Design Workshop. The workshop will be held on Friday, February 17 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Midtown Atlanta, and will focus on applying the new ITE/CNU manual Designing Walkable Urban Thoroughfares: A Context Sensitive Approach. Rick Hall, with Hall Planning and Engineering, will be leading the instruction and Tom Weyandt, Senior Policy Advisor on Transportation for the City of Atlanta, will also be on hand to talk about the importance of linking transportation policy with design and construction implementation.
