• Senior Transportation Engineer - Atlanta, Georgia

  Iteris is a consulting firm specializing in traffic engineering, transportation planning and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Our knowledge enables us to design and implement transportation solutions that help public agencies reduce traffic congestion, enhance transit use and provide greater access to traveler information. We combine the talents of transportation engineers, systems engineers, system integrators and transportation planners to bring a unique combination of knowledge, creativity and experience in developing and applying traffic-engineering solutions.

  This position will be responsible for business development, marketing, strategic teaming and administrative activities for the Southeast area and will work closely with the Regional Manager and other project managers to achieve company's growth goals. This will include conducting business development activities such as outreach, proposal preparation, interviews and contract negotiations. In addition to administrative and marketing duties, this person will also serve as Project Manager and Principal-in-Charge for large multi-discipline projects. We are seeking a person who has proven business development and marketing expertise.

  Qualifications Required:

  • BS or equivalent in CE, TE, or EE
  • At least of 5 years experience in transportation marketing and business development.
  • At least 10 years experience in ITS, traffic engineering or planning, design and implementation.
  • 5 years supervisory and management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of State and Local Transportation agencies in Southeast and specifically in GA.

  Qualifications Desired:

  • Existing client knowledge of southeast area and understanding of the market
  • Working knowledge of ITS design standards and guidelines
  • MS in CE or EE
  • Previous office manager or multi-disciplinary group/team lead experience
